Sarajevo: Four BH Citizens and Two Citizens of France Arrested

In the night between 4 and 5 December 2012, police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), in cooperation with the Intelligence Security Agency (OSA), upon the order from the Prosecutor’s Office BH and Court BH, arrested six individuals in the area of Sarajevo in relation to criminal offences of illicit trafficking of weapons and military equipment and unauthorised production and trafficking in narcotics.

The arrested individuals, four of whom are citizens of BH and two citizens of France, were taken to SIPA’s official premises for criminal processing, whereupon three individuals were handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office BH for further processing, along with a report on grounds for suspicion on perpetration of the criminal offence set out in the Article 193 of CC BH (Illicit Trafficking in Weapons and Military Equipment and Products of Dual Use).

In the framework of these activities, a search at an apartment used by the arrested individuals was carried out, whereby objects that could be related to the perpetration of these criminal offences were found and seized.

These activities are the result of a successful cooperation between SIPA and Intelligence Security Agency, recently intensified owing to meetings and agreements between the managements of these two agencies.
