Representatives of B&H Prosecutor's Office and SIPA Held Meeting

Today (3/9/2015) – A working meeting was held at the premises of the Prosecutor's Office B&H between the representatives of the Prosecutor's Office’s Special Department for War Crimes and State Investigation and Protection Agency’s (SIPA) Sector for Investigation of War Crimes and Crimes Punishable under International Humanitarian Law.

The meeting discussed the cooperation between the Prosecutor’s Office B&H and SIPA in the area of war crimes and agreed future activities for more efficient investigative activities and apprehension of war crime suspects. They also discussed modalities of a more efficient finding of individuals, who are hiding or are inaccessible to the judicial authorities, suspected of war crimes and violations of international humanitarian laws. 

In the previous period, hundreds of activities were carried out jointly, which included conducting investigations and collecting evidence, finding and apprehension of suspects in all parts of B&H, finding and identifying victims and witnesses of war crimes and a number of other activities.

It was concluded that the cooperation was intensive and good, and that it will be continued in the future with the aim of detecting and processing individuals suspected of war crimes and violation of international humanitarian law.
