Radiosarajevo.ba: Human Trafficking Worth 2.5 Million €

Yesterday (10/11/2015), Radiosarajevo.ba portal published a story titled “Human Trafficking worth 2.5 Million €: Women Separated from their Children Begging and Pickpocketing in Paris”, which is about the operation of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) codenamed “CD”.

"The investigators working on the case say the operation codenamed CD has discovered a new way of human trafficking in Bosnia and Herzegovina, they have never faced before," the article says.

The “CD“ Operation was conducted by SIPA during June and July this year upon orders of the Prosecutor’s Office B&H and was a result of months-long joint investigation of the security authorities of France and B&H. The joint investigation team was composed of representatives of the Prosecutor’s Offices of B&H and France and investigators of SIPA and Juvenile Protection Unit of Paris Police Prefecture. They were conducting joint investigations on the territories of both countries for several months.

“Husbands, brothers and relatives of women sent them to France and forced them to pickpocketing and begging in order to collect even up to 300 Euros on a daily basis or otherwise they will not return home and see their children ever again” the article says, among other things.
