19 Useful Information Received Through the Electronic Form

"Crime Stoppers" in November:330 Calls and 30 Useful Information

In November 2015, police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) registered 330 calls on the telephone line "Crime Stoppers".

During this period, citizens submitted 30 useful information on committed or planned criminal offenses and perpetrators, based on which the same number of criminal intelligence reports was made.

In addition, 68 reports were received through the electronic criminal offense reporting form, which was set up on the website of SIPA in February this year, of which 19 useful information on committed or planned criminal offenses and perpetrators, based on which the same number of criminal intelligence reports was made.

The majority of information related to abuse of office or authority, economic crime, and illicit drug trafficking. Of the total number of information received through "Crime-Stoppers" and electronic form, 49 were forwarded for further proceeding to relevant police bodies in Bosnia and Herzegovina, while SIPA acted on 12 information.

In the reporting period, 20 feedbacks from the competent police and other authorities were received, which were related to the previously submitted information, received through "Crime-Stoppers" or electronic criminal offense reporting form.

In addition, SIPA police officials gave 147 recommendations to the citizens who contacted them via anonymous and free telephone number "Crime Stoppers" - 080 020 505.
