Postgraduate Students of the Faculty of Political Sciences Visited SIPA

As part of the long cooperation between the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and University of Sarajevo Faculty of Political Sciences, the students of the second year of postgraduate studies at the Department for Security and Peace Studies, accompanied by Vlado Azinović, PhD, visited the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA).

Since the Department for Security, among other things, studies the subject of “Terrorism and Political Violence”, the students were delivered a lecture on the phenomenon of terrorism as today’s greatest security threat. The lecture was delivered by the Head of the Section for Fight against Terrorism and Trafficking in NBC Weapons of the SIPA Criminal Investigation Department, Amer Veiz, who presented also some concrete examples of previous SIPA cases.

The students also visited the SIPA Special Support Unit and were presented the activities and role of this elite unit in their fight against terrorism as well as some of their weapons and other equipment of the Unit.

It was concluded that today's visit was very successful and highly beneficial, and that the cooperation will be continued. In this context, they discussed the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the Sarajevo Faculty of Political Sciences and SIPA.
