Participants of 10th Training Course on Security Policy Visited SIPA

Yesterday (4/11/2014) – Special Support Unit of the State Investigation and Protection Agency was visited by the participants of the 10th Training Course on Security Policy of B&H. The aim of this visit was to acquire better understanding of the work and role of the Unit in the implementation of security policy of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Visit to the SIPA Special Support Unit has become a tradition as this Unit has been included in the course programme since 2007. Given the role and importance of SIPA in the security system of B&H, this visit was one of the most important segments of the overall training on Security Policy of BiH, which is implemented and organised by the Inter-ministerial Working Group of the Council of Ministers B&H in charge of monitoring the implementation of the document "BiH Security Policy" in cooperation with the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The course participants were welcomed by the acting commander of the Unit Jovica Mirosavljević who introduced them with the responsibilities and role of SIPA in the security system of BiH. He presented all relevant details pertaining to the effective functioning of the Agency in the fight against the most complex crimes with special reference to the role of this elite unit and its successful functioning and work results.
