The US State Department released its annual report on terrorism presenting an assessment of terrorism-related trends and developments in 2012, which includes a survey of Bosnia and Herzegovina as well. It was stated that in 2012, Bosnia and Herzegovina increased its capacities to combat terrorism and remained a cooperative partner in this field at the international level. According to the report, which was published in the edition of Dnevni Avaz on 1 June 2013, the leading role in the fight against terrorism in the operational sense belongs to the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and the Prosecutor's Office.
