Operation "Damask 4": In The Follow Up Activities SIPA Apprehended Three Individuals

Today (01/11/2016), police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) apprehended three individuals in the follow up activities conducted within the operation codenamed "Damask", and searched facilities in three locations in the area of Velika Kladuša with the aim of finding and seizure of items that may serve as evidence in further proceedings.

These activities were carried on the orders of the Court of B&H and B&H Prosecutor's Office, and in the cooperation with the police officials of the Una-Sana Canton Ministry of Interior.

The individuals identified by initials NŠ (1988), AM (1960) and DžV (1989) were apprehended due to the grounds for suspicion of having committed criminal offence under Article 162b of the B&H CC, paragraph (3) "Unlawful Forming and Joining Paramilitary or Para-police Formations".

During the search, the following items were found and seized: six hand grenades, one rifle grenade, two anti-personnel landmines, 26 rounds of ammunition for M-84 machine gun 7.62 mm, 30 pieces of rifle ammunition 7.9 mm, six pieces of pistol ammunition, 7.65 mm, machete, flag ISIL, plastic mould for imaging ISIL marks, mobile phones, SIM cards and other items that may serve as evidence in further proceedings.

The apprehended individuals were brought to the SIPA premises for criminal investigation. Their further status will be decided upon in accordance with the instructions of the competent prosecutor.
