Operation Code-Named “Devetak” Continued

On 23 May 2013, in the continuation of the operation code-named “Devetak”, members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), acting upon orders from the Court and Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in coordination with members of the RS Ministry of Interior, searched a number of buildings and movables in Šekovići and Sokolac municipalities.
During the searches, substantial quantities of military weapons (automatic rifles, semi-automatic rifles, various calibre ammunition, computers, mobile telephones, etc.) and other items that might be related to the perpetration of the criminal offence of “Illicit Trafficking in Arms and Military Equipment and Products of Dual Use”, set out in the Article 193 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, were found and seized.

 

During this operation, two individuals were arrested in relation to this criminal offence. The arrested individuals were detained at the official premises of the State Investigation and Protection Agency where they will be criminally processed. The report on grounds for suspicion of having committed the criminal offence and its perpetrators will be submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office BH.
