Once Again SIPA in French Documentary on Fighting Arms Smuggling

Activities of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) in fighting arms smuggling and trafficking will be presented in a French documentary on fighting arms smuggling. This is the second film this year on fighting this type of crime, presenting members of SIPA. This film will be broadcasted by France 3, the French national television, as a part of the “Avenue de l'Europe” programme.

Scenes for this film were shot on 5 February 2014 at the official premises of SIPA headquarters and at Pašino Brdo location in Sarajevo. The SIPA Special Support Unit demonstrated a drill on special operations tactics (vehicle entry) for the documentary and the French TV crew also witnessed shooting exercises by SSU members at a shooting range.

The crew hired for the making of this documentary interviewed a SIPA Inspector, who investigated criminal offences of arms trafficking, and Commander of the Anti-Terrorist Team of SIPA Special Support Unit.

The purpose of the documentary on fighting arms smuggling is to present successful operations and all activities of the law enforcement agencies in BH and France against this type of crime, as well as capacities of these agency for a timely response to all security challenges.
