During today’s ceremony organised on this occasion at the premises of AEPTM, the cadets signed an Agreement on Mutual Rights and Obligations during further training with the Director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency, Goran Zubac and the Director of the Agency for Education and Professional Training, Branko Vukoja.

During the training, the fourth generation of cadets with a Degree in Criminalistics, Economy, Psychology or Law, including 16 women, will be accommodated at the “S.B.Kraljević” barracks, which have up-to-date equipped cabinets for criminal technique, training in shooting (laser shot) and informatics cabinet, as well a tactical training range, essential to educational process, since practical exercises, situational lessons, field training, etc. cover nearly 40% of the total number of hours in plan by the curricula and programmes for basic police training.

The training of the cadets will last for 15 weeks (520 class periods), divided into two stages. The stage one covers theory lessons with practical exercises (410 class periods) and the second stage (100 class periods) covers systematisation of the study material, situational and field training and final exam. The curriculum includes 14 courses and the same number of curricula.

The aim of the training is obtaining knowledge, skills and values necessary for a successful performance of duties of a police official, wherefore every cadet, during a four-month educational process, must have at least two grades in every course. A general academic standing of the cadets will be a grade point average.

Cadets who successfully complete the educational process will pass a final exam, and those most successful will receive a Certificate on Completed Basic Training by the Agency for Education and Professional Training. Thereby, a cadet fulfils requirements for obtaining the rank of a Junior Inspector. Thereupon, the cadets will sign an Agreement and take oath, officially starting their engagement at the State Investigation and Protection Agency.
