Member of SIPA Appointed Commander of Region One in Peacekeeping Mission in Liberia

On 27 June 2013, owing to the professional performance of duties and notable results, Ognjen Crnogorac, member of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), in line with a decision by a Police Commissioner for UNPOL Mission in Liberia, was appointed Commander of the Region 1, one of the five regions in this country.
The Region 1 covers the area of 6.130 km2 and it has 516.000 inhabitants. In this Region, there are 35 police departments, employing 383 members of the Liberian National Police, and 35 members of UNPOL from all parts of the world provide daily assistance by counselling, training and monitoring their work.
Due to excellent results he has achieved, since he was sent to the Peacekeeping Mission on 3 June 2011, Crnogorac was selected and appointed a Team Leader on 26 January 2012 and on 25 May 2012, he was promoted from the position of the Team Leader to a Commander of the Region 2. His latest promotion is another proof of his professional engagement and selfless dedication to the Mission. Currently, he is also the only member of SIPA in the Peacekeeping Mission in Liberia.
The participation in a Peacekeeping Mission is an international obligation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the indication of stability and development of BH and its institutions. It also represents a contribution to the international peace and improves the reputation of our country in the world. Therefore, SIPA is particularly proud of exceptional results achieved by its members in the UN Peacekeeping Missions.
