Meeting of Heads of SIPA, Court of B&H and the B&H Prosecutor’s Office

Today (12/23/2015), a meeting between Director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), Perica Stanic, president of the Court of B&H, Meddžida Kreso, and the Chief Prosecutor, Goran Salihovic was held in Sarajevo.

Given the fact that SIPA, B&H Prosecutor’s Office and the Court of B&H, within their competences, work on the most complex cases, and that their role is crucial in establishing the rule of law in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the leaders of these institutions discussed the modalities of future cooperation, with a view to achieving the best possible results and efficient implementation of activities.

A large number of operational activities in the fight against organized crime, corruption, war crimes and terrorism, in the framework of dozens of cases, was implemented in the past. Therefore, 2015 can be considered very successful in the area of the establishment of the rule of law and a safe and secure environment for all the citizens of B&H, concluded the participants of the meeting.

The participants agreed to more effective cooperation and faster information exchange within the cases which require immediate action, in order to timely document the illegal activities of suspects and for the suspects to be prosecuted in accordance with the law.

Leaders of the three institutions expressed their satisfaction with the past cooperation and pointed out that it will be continued and further improved in the future. They also emphasized the importance of cooperation among all the institutions at the state level, both entities and the B&H Brcko District, in accordance with the legal competences, with the aim of effectively combating all forms of crime.
