Joint Training of SIPA Special Support Unit and Hungarian Police

As a continuation of previous successful cooperation, the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) hosted the special alpine team of the Hungarian Anti-Terrorism Centre (TEK). Under the supervision of the members of SIPA Special Support Unit there was a training „Alpinism and Speleology“ held in the period 23/9 – 27/9/2013 in Sarajevo, whose organisation was a joint venture of SIPA and the project staff of the „EU Support to Law Enforcement in B&H“.
The training resulted in an upgrade and advancement of knowledge and skills of both police members in domains of alpinism particularly when it comes to vertical raiding the buildings.
Commander of the SIPA Special Support Unit, Mirsad Vilić expressed his satisfaction that the SIPA had the opportunity to host colleagues from Hungary and that the instructors of SIPA generously shared their knowledge with them.
Following successful completion of the training, the SIPA Special Support Unit Commander awarded the certificates of attendance to 10 members of the Hungarian TEK.
