Joint Training of Members of Special Support Unit SIPA and Armed Forces BH

On 20 June 2013, a joint training of members of the Special Support Unit of SIPA and the Second Helicopter Squadron of the Air Force Brigade and Air Defence of the Armed Forces BH was carried out at the Igman and Bjelašnica plateau.
The training covered rapid transport of operational forces to a particular region, rapid embarkation and disembarkation (Fast Drop) and Medevac Procedure. The MI8 helicopter was utilised for these activities.
Considering a growing need for a rapid takeover of tactical and inaccessible locations, members of the Special Support Unit of SIPA once again successfully demonstrated their theoretic and practical experience.

This training is a continuation of an ongoing cooperation between the State Investigation and Protection Agency and Armed Forces BH in the exchange of special skills, experience and transfer of material and technical assets and training grounds.
“This training demonstrated that SIPA and Armed Forces BH can jointly respond to all requests at any time and in any place, regardless whether it is a high risk operational activity or assistance to affected population during natural disasters”, said Mr Mirsad Vilić, Commander of the Special Support Unit of SIPA.
