On 10 June 2013, acting upon orders from the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Prosecutor’s Office BH, members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), in cooperation with members of the Border Police BH and Ministry of Interior of Republic of Srpska, carried out a joint police operation code named “Skela” in a broad territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina. At the same time, members of the Border Police BH and Ministry of Interior RS carried out an operation code named “Pauk”.
Several dozens of police officials participated in these operations, searched more than 50 locations across Bosnia and Herzegovina and arrested 58 suspects.
In the framework of the operation code named “Skela”, members of the State Investigation and protection Agency (SIPA) arrested nine individuals in relation to the perpetration of criminal offences of corruption and criminal offences against an official or responsible duty (“Abuse of Office or Official Authority” set out in Article 220 of the Criminal Code of BH, “Accepting Gifts and Other Forms of Benefits” set out in Article 217 of CC BH, “Giving Gifts and Other Forms of Benefits” set out in Article 218 of CC BH and “Smuggling” set out in Article 214 of CC BH).

During these operations, members of SIPA searched buildings in 11 locations, where they found and seized a number of mobile phones, SIM cards, notebooks, substantial quantities of money and other items in relations to the perpetration of these criminal offences. The operations were carried out with the assistance from members of Tuzla Canton Ministry of Interior.
The arrested individuals were brought to the official premises of the State Investigation and Protection Agency and Tuzla Regional Office where they are being criminally processed, whereupon they will be handed over for further processing to the Prosecutor’s Office BH.
On the occasion of these operations, a joint press conference was held at the official premises of SIPA. Mr Goran Salihović, Chief Prosecutor from the Prosecutor’s Office BH, Mr Goran Zubac, Director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency, Mr Vinko Dumančić, Director of the Border Police BH and Mr Gojko Vasić, Director of RS Police talked about the success of the operations.
