Investigation by SIPA and Tuzla Canton Ministry of Interior within “Brava” Case Resulted in Confirma

Investigation by the police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and members of the Tuzla Canton Ministry of Interior in a case code-named “Brava” resulted in the indictment by the Tuzla Canton Prosecutor’s Office against 14 individuals, confirmed by the Tuzla Canton Court on 24 October 2013, due to grounded suspicion of having committed criminal offences of illicit production and trafficking in narcotics, enabling the use of narcotics, abuse of position or authority and unlawful mediation.

On 29 July 2013, in the framework of this case, acting upon orders by the Tuzla Canton Court, members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) with the assistance from members of the Tuzla Canton Ministry of Interior, carried out searches of 18 buildings in Tuzla, Lukavac and Živinice, including 6 premises of the Tuzla correctional facility, as well as searches of a number of individuals aimed to collect evidence related to the criminal offences of abuse of official position and illicit trafficking in narcotics. On the same day, 13 suspects were arrested.

During the investigation within the “Brava” case, 3.3 kg of heroin and additives (mixture) for heroin in the market value of BAM 180.000 were seized.
