In Operation “Kamagra” SIPA Arrested Two Individuals for Illegal Trade of Medicines

On 28 March 2014, acting upon orders by the Prosecutor’s Office BH and Court BH, within “Kamagra” operation, police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), arrested two individuals in Banja Luka for illegal trade of medicines.

The individuals Z.G. and S.Đ. were arrested due to ground for suspicion of having committed the criminal offence set out in Article 250 of the Criminal Code BH “Organised Crime”, in conjunction with the criminal offence set out in Article 212 of CC BH “Illicit Trade”, criminal offence set out in Article 219 of CC BH “Production and Circulation of Products Harmful to Health” and criminal offence set out in Article 220 of CC BH “Abuse of Office or Official Authority”.

In the framework of this operations, three locations in Banja Luke were searched, whereby the following items were found and seized: 394 boxes of Kamagra gel (100 mg), 14 boxes of Viagra (100 mg), 41 boxes of Kamagra (effervescent tablets), 21 boxes of Cialis (20 mg) and other products, as well as telephones, SIM cards and other items that can be used as evidence in further proceedings.

Prior to this operation, a several months long investigation was carried out, in the framework of which illegal trade of medicines from India and Serbia to BH was registered.

The arrested individuals were brought to the official premises of the State Investigation and protection Agency, Banja Luka Regional Office, whereupon their status will be determined in line with instructions by an acting Prosecutor.
