Improving Cooperation in Public Information

The meeting between public relations officers of the B&H Prosecutor's Office, B&H Border Police, State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and Indirect Tax Administration took place in Banja Luka, 28-29 September, 2011. The meeting discussed cooperation between the law enforcement agencies in public information.
The participants discussed the possibilities for improvement of cooperation particularly in the area of joint police operations involving police officials from several law enforcement agencies. Aiming at more efficient cooperation and informing the public about work of these institutions, the contacts during implementation of joint operations will be intensified in order to identify the modes of informing the public, printed and electronic media particularly with regard to the operations attracting great public attention.
The spokespersons of the mentioned institutions concluded that the coordinated communication and cooperation are the key elements in timely and quality public informing and providing the media with sufficient materials (information, pictures and videos) necessary for development of news related to the law enforcement activities. The meeting was attended by Boris Grubešić, spokesperson of the B&H Prosecutor’s Office, Sanela Dujković, spokesperson of the B&H Border Police, Željka Kujundžija, spokesperson of SIPA and Ratko Kovačević, spokesperson of the B&H Indirect Tax Administration. The host of this meeting was the B&H Indirect Taxation Administration.
