Illegal Book Copying Shops Detected in Tuzla and Bijeljina

In continuation of activities with the aim of the protection of copyrights, the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) police officials carried out searches of copying shops in Tuzla and Bijeljina, where university and secondary school books were illegally copied without an approval from the authors.
In searches of eight copying shops, ten computer units (processors), two laptops, 17 transferable media (DVD, CD, USB), three external hard disks and 521 copied books were detected and seized.
The action was carried out upon the order from the Prosecutor's Office of B&H, with assistance from members of RS MoI, Public Security Centre Bijeljina and Tuzla Canton MoI.
The SIPA police officials will forward a report on the committed criminal offence set out in the Article 243 of CC B&H (Unauthorised Usage of Copyrights) to the Prosecutor’s Office of B&H.
