ICITAP Director Visited SIPA

Today (25/8/2015) – ICITAP Director in B&H Charles W. Bennett visited the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and met with SIPA Deputy Director Đuro Knežević. The meeting discussed future cooperation and strengthening overall capacities of SIPA as well as current security challenges.

SIPA Deputy Director said that the priorities of SIPA are fight against all forms of terrorism with particular focus on preventive actions and serious financial crimes, corruption, money laundering and war crimes.

They also discussed the need for specialist trainings for investigators involved in these lines of work and material and technical strengthening of the Agency.

Bennett emphasised that ICITAP is at SIPA’s disposal for any assistance and support in fighting all security challenges in a more efficient way. He expressed a readiness to provide support in strengthening and implementing SIPA objectives in the future period. 

Deputy Director Knežević thanked ICITAP and the US Government for their contribution to the overall development of SIPA and stated he hopes the successful cooperation will continue in the future.
