 Last night, 21/03/2013, in Mostar, the traditional award ceremony "Večernjakov pečat" organised by "Večernji list", one of the biggest daily newspaper in Croatia and B&H, at which the director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) Goran Zubac was presented the award for „Success of the Year“.
Each year, this newspaper selects the most successful people coming from different segments of the society: culture, politics and economy and awards them “Večernjakov pečat” for their achievements. Over 100 individuals were nominated and the readers of the newspaper were voting for over a month.
At the event, sponsored by the President of the Republic of Croatia Ivo Josipovic and President of B&H Presidency Nebojša Radmanović, eleven awards were presented to individuals who had marked the last year with their achievements.
After receiving the award for the „Success of the Year“, SIPA's Director addressed the audience: „This is not just my success, but the success of all police officials of the SIPA“.
Director Zubac was 68thon the list of the candidates nominated for the “Person of the Year” award stating that he, as the first man of the SIPA, “has undermined criminal milieu”by police operations aimed at “disruption” of organised crimeparticularly with Lutka and Bos operations in the country and the region.
By this award, SIPA has shown to have full confidence of the citizens and that it is a leading police agency in the country and the region.
