Today, 17.11.2011, by order of the Prosecutor of the Special Department for War Crimes within the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency apprehended GL (1959) in Gacko. GL is under investigation by the Special Department for War Crimes within the Prosecutor's Office of BiH and is suspected of having committed the criminal offence of Crimes against Humanity under Article 172 of the CC BiH.
GL was a commander of TD Gacko and member of the Crisis Staff and War Presidency of Gacko in 1992.

The apprehended person (GL) is suspected of committing war crimes against Bosniaks in Gacko i.e. persecution, killings, unlawful incarceration and forcible transfer of the Bosniak population committed during and after the attacks on the villages around Gacko and in Gacko in 1992.

The officers of SIPA shall hand over the suspect, within the legal deadline, to the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, where the Assigned Prosecutor shall question the suspect and decide whether to file a motion for custody.
