German Ambassador Visited SIPA: Support to SIPA is in Interest of Germany

On 29 January 2013, the Director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), Mr Goran Zubac, held a working meeting with the German Ambassador, H.E. Ulrike Maria Knotz, who donated photographic equipment worth BAM 47.000 to SIPA on behalf of the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA).

The donation from the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) to the State Investigation and Protection Agency is the result of long and exceptionally successful cooperation between these two agencies.

“What makes the cooperation between BKA and SIPA so exceptional is the fact that this cooperation is based on the network of contacts. These contacts are personal and based on confidence”, said Ms Knotz, the German Ambassador.

Partnership between SIPA and Germany Donated Equipment

“By giving support to SIPA, we also strengthen fight against crime in Germany”, said the German Ambassador.

According to Mr Goran Zubac, SIPA’s Director, today’s donation to the Agency also means the obligation to continue and improve international cooperation in most severe criminal offences.

“This year, SIPA will also accomplish remarkable results and they will be better than the results in 2012. The citizens will have to recognise this. Our main activities will cover terrorism, organised crime, corruption, financial crime, money laundering and everything that might threaten a legal system”, said Director Zubac.

The awarding of the donation was preceded by a working meeting in which SIPA’s Director and German Ambassador discussed SIPA’s priorities in the upcoming period, security situation in BH, SIPA’s personnel and its vision for combating all types of crime in the future. Future cooperation was agreed upon at this meeting as well.

SIPA’s Director awarded the German Ambassador the Certificate of Appreciation for successful cooperation and contribution in strengthening SIPA’s capacities.
