False Alerts on Terrorist Attacks Cleared Up

On 7 August 2012, during the activities in clearing up anonymous alerts, which were being sent to Embassies with offices in Sarajevo, announcing alleged terrorist attacks all over the world, the State Investigation and Protection Agency police officials searched two locations in the area of Banovići and took a statement from the suspect M.S. (DOB 1965).

In the searches at residential and business premises used by the suspect, evidence was retrieved and seized, which along with a report on the committed criminal offence set out in the Article 234 of the Criminal Code BH (False Information about Criminal Offence) against M.S., in conjunction with the criminal offence set out in the Article 201 of the Criminal Code BH (Terrorism), will be handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office BH.

The searches were carried out upon the order from the Court BH, with the assistance from the Tuzla Canton Ministry of Interior.
