Excellent Results of SIPA Continued

On 28 August 2013, the SIPA Management Board meeting was held at the head offices of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), whereby the results from the first half of 2013 were discussed. In addition to Mr Goran Zubac, the Director of SIPA, Heads of SIPA’s organisational units also attended the meeting, as well as representatives from ICITAP.

A general evaluation was that the results from the first half of 2013 were in line with the last year’s, and even better than the last year’s in the segment of operational activities of SIPA’s competent organisational units. Successful cooperation with other police agencies and authorities was particularly pointed out. In this period, 165 reports on committed criminal offences and perpetrators against 516 individuals were submitted to the competent Prosecutor’s Offices.

The Director congratulated the Heads of organisational units on the results achieved in this reporting period, which are significantly better and more serious, and announced that successful results would be continued. Particular emphasis will be on the top priorities of the Agency, including combating terrorism, organised crime, economic crime and corruption, which will be confirmed by the upcoming large and complex operations of SIPA.

At the Management Board meeting, the Director also expressed his gratitude to the representatives from ICITAP on their assistance and cooperation in combating all types of crime and maintaining the reputation of SIPA as an important authority in both security and police sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region.

The rule of law and justice, expertise and professionalism are the mission of the Agency, which will be continued with the aim of providing security for all BH citizens.
