SIPA

Today (12/01/2016), EUFOR Commander in B&H Major General Johann Luif with his associates visited the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and met with SIPA Director Perica Stanić.

As this was the first visit of the EUFOR Commander to SIPA since the appointment of Perica Stanić as director they discussed priorities of SIPA and future plans as well as current security challenges in B&H and the world.

Director Stanić pointed out that the priority of SIPA will be uncompromising fight against terrorism with focus on preventive actions, as evidenced by the recent operation “Damask 4”, organised crime, financial crime and corruption and other criminal offences within SIPA competence.

Major General Johann Luif said that the cooperation with SIPA was very successful in the previous period and that he was convinced that it would be continued in the future. He also emphasised importance of joint cooperation in the areas of mutual interest and said that SIPA is supported by EUFOR, which also appreciates SIPA efforts in fighting all types of crime to ensure the rule of law in B&H.

The EUFOR Commander congratulated the SIPA Director on his appointment and wished him success in his future work.
