Eight Individuals Apprehended in Herzegovina, 30 Kilos of „Skunk“ Seized

In the night between May 31st and June 1st, 2010 the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) police officials apprehended eight individuals in the area of Herzegovina under a suspicion of having committed the criminal offence set out in the Article 250 of CC B&H (Organised Crime), in conjunction with the Article 195 of CC B&H (Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs). An active police official and two citizens of Montenegro are among the apprehended individuals.

After a search of a passenger motor vehicle owned by one of the apprehended individuals, 30 kilos of „skunk“ narcotic drug, packed into a transparent nylon foil and divided into 30 pieces of one-kilogram packages, were seized. According to the Prosecutor's Office of B&H estimates, its market value is approximately 20.000 Euro.

During the action carried out upon the order from the Prosecutor's Office of B&H, in cooperation with officers of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton MOI and West Herzegovina Canton MIO, four searches were carried out and, apart from the narcotics, ten cellular telephones, four passenger motor vehicles and circa 3000 Euro were seized.


After criminal processing at the SIPA premises, the apprehended individuals will be handed over to the Prosecutor's Office of B&H.
