Deputy Ambassador of Japan Visited SIPA

Today (5/10/2015) – Deputy Ambassador of Japan in B&H, Kazumasa Miyazaki with his Secretary for Security and Consular Affairs, Atsushi Shibasaki, visited the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and met with SIPA Deputy Director Đuro Knežević.

Since this was the first official visit of the Deputy Ambassador of Japan to SIPA the meeting discussed all aspects of SIPA’s work, its competence and role in the security system of B&H as well as the current security situation. The SIPA Deputy Director emphasised that the priorities of SIPA are countering terrorism and financing of terrorist activities with particular focus on proactive and preventive actions, countering organised crime, financial crime, corruption and war crimes.

The Deputy Ambassador Kazumasa Miyazaki expressed their support to SIPA’s efforts in fighting the most complex types of crime. The meeting also agreed modalities of future cooperation.
