Delegation of Anti-Terrorism Assistance Programme (ATA) in Visit to SIPA

The Delegation of the Anti-Terrorism Assistance Programme visited the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and met with Mr Goran Zubac, Director of SIPA.

The visit was arranged with the aim to make an overview of all organised trainings that, owing to the cooperation with the US Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, were attended by members of SIPA, and determine necessary future programmes and types of trainings.

At the meeting, Mr Goran Zubac, Director of SIPA, presented information about previous successful organisation of all the trainings for the employees of the Agency. He pointed out that the primary strategic partner in organising and delivering basic and specialised trainings on anti-terrorism was the US Government. Owing to the US Government, the police officials of SIPA took part in the best training courses on contemporary terrorism and investigations with the aim of preventing terrorist acts and exchanging experience with colleagues – lecturers with remarkable and long experience in this field.

In a discussion with the Director of SIPA, the representatives of the ATA Delegation pointed out that the training process of the Agency was very transparent and at a high level. They expressed willingness of the US Embassy and US Government to continue supporting and building capacities of SIPA.
