“Damask“: SIPA Apprehended Two Individuals

Yesterday (16/2/2016), police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) apprehended the individuals identified by initials MS (1972) from Gračanica and OAK (1970) from Bosanska Dubica at the Sarajevo International Airport, after their extradition from Turkey where they spent a certain period of time.

These individuals were deprived of liberty upon orders of the Prosecutor’s Office B&H due to grounded suspicion of having committed the criminal offence “Terrorism” under Article 202d Paragraph (2) of the CC B&H.

The arrested individuals are suspected of having participated in the armed conflict on behalf of ISIL on the Syrian battlefield.

Very good police cooperation in this matter was established at national level with Border Police B&H, Security Intelligence Agency and Federal Police Administration as well as cooperation at international level, which resulted in the extradition of MS and OAK.

The individuals are brought to SIPA premises and after criminal processing, their further status will be decided upon the instructions of the acting prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office B&H.
