„Crime-Stoppers“ in September: 376 Calls and 10 Useful Information“

In September 2017, the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) police officials registered 376 calls on the telephone line "Crime Stoppers". In the aforementioned time period, citizens submitted 10 useful information on committed or planned criminal offences and their perpetrators, based on which the same number of criminal intelligence reports was made. In addition, 68 reports were received through the electronic criminal offense reporting form, of which 18 useful information on committed or planned criminal offenses and perpetrators, based on which the same number of criminal intelligence reports was made.

The majority of information referred to the criminal offences of the illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs and econimic crime. Out of the total number of useful information received through "Crime-Stoppers" and electronic form, 28 were forwarded for further proceeding to competent police authorities in BiH and SIPA acted upon seven information.

In the reporting period, 22 feedbacks from the competent police and other authorities were received, which were related to the previously submitted information, received through "Crime-Stoppers" or electronic criminal offense reporting form, based on which it was established that the processing of the mentiond information resulted in the submission of two reports of committed crimes and perpetrators to the competent prosecutor's offices.

In addition, SIPA police officials gave 68 recommendations to the citizens who contacted them via anonymous and free telephone number "Crime Stoppers" - 080 020 505.
