In June 2013, the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) police officials registered 417 calls to the Crime-Stoppers hotline, out of which 195 were assessed as not serious.
In this period, citizens submitted 83 useful information on planned or committed criminal offences and their perpetrators, based on which the same number of reports was made. The majority of information was related to the criminal offences of abuse of office or authority (12) and other criminal offences (25).
Out of the total number of useful information, 83 of them, along with the reports, were forwarded for further processing to competent police authorities in BH and eight information were related to criminal offences from SIPA’s competence.
Within this reporting period, 64 pieces of feedback were received from the competent police authorities, based on which it was determined that the competent Prosecutor’s Offices received one report on a committed criminal offence and perpetrators, and one report was submitted for evaluation.
In addition, SIPA’s police officials gave 139 recommendations to the citizens who contacted them via the anonymous and free Crime-Stoppers telephone number - 080 020 505.
