Crime-Stoppers in February: 349 Calls and 84 Useful Information Received

In February 2013, the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) police officials registered 349 calls to the Crime-Stoppers hotline, out of which 114 were assessed as not serious.
In this period, citizens submitted 84 useful information on planned or committed criminal offences and their perpetrators, based on which the same number of reports was made.
The majority of information was related to the criminal offences of abuse of office or authority (14), illegal possession and trade in arms, military equipment and dual use products (7) and illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs (6).
Out of the total number of useful information, 84 of them, along with the reports, were forwarded for further processing to competent police authorities in BH and eight information were related to criminal offences from SIPA’s competence.
Within this reporting period, 43 pieces of feedback were received from the competent police authorities, based on which it was determined that the competent Prosecutor’s Offices received two reports on a committed criminal offence and perpetrators, and two reports were submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office for evaluation.
