Copying Shops Searched in Mostar

On February 24th, 2011, while continuing activities in copyright protection, the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) police officials searched six copying shops in the area of Mostar, where books were copied illegally.

In the searches of the copying shops owned by D.O., E.Ć., T.D., D.V. i M.S., 35 copying machines, nine CPUs, four printers, a scanner, binding machine, book sealing machine, hard disc, and a significant amount of different authors' university books, among other things, were detected and seized.

The SIPA police officials will submit reports on committed criminal offences set out in the Article 243 of the CC B&H (Unauthorised Usage of Copyrights) against the owners of the searched copying shops to the Prosecutor's Office of B&H.

The action was carried out upon the order from the Court of B&H, with a support of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton MoI officials.

SIPA's police officials will continue carrying out activities from its competence with the aim of copyright protection.
