Meeting Held with the Director Perica Stanić and Heads of Organizational Units
Chief Prosecutor of the B&H Prosecutor’s Office and his Closest Associates Visited SIPA

Today (11/13/2015), Chief Prosecutor of the B&H Prosecutor’s Office, Goran Salihovic, and officials of the B&H Prosecutor’s Office visited State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA). They met with the Director of SIPA, Perica Stanić, and the Heads of the Criminal Investigation Department, Financial Intelligence Department, Operational Support Sector and the Sector for Investigation of War Crimes and the Crimes Punishable under International Humanitarian Law.
The delegation of the B&H Prosecutor's Office, headed by the Chief Prosecutor, consisted of the Heads of Departments and Sections of the B&H Prosecutor’s Office. The mutual support of these institutions in a joint mission to effectively prosecute all criminal offenses within their competence, was demonstrated during the meeting with the newly appointed Director of SIPA, Perica Stanic. The shared commitment to combat all forms of crime, with special emphasis on the fight against terrorism, organized crime, corruption and war crimes, was emphasized.
B&H Prosecutor's Office and SIPA conduct daily operational cooperation, and hundreds of operational and investigative activities in the fight against organized crime, war crimes, terrorism, corruption, money laundering, financial crime and other criminal offenses within the competence of these institutions are carried out every month. In the past 12 years, these two institutions, by implementing activities and prosecuting hundreds of suspects, have proven to make great efforts in the fight for the rule of law, and that they are key stakeholders in the fight against serious forms of crime, gaining the trust of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the context of the fight against cross-border crime, a very good and dynamic cooperation with partner agencies in the region, Europe and the world has been achieved.
Participants of the meeting expressed their willingness to further improve cooperation as well as stance that SIPA and the B&H Prosecutor's Office should act as one body. It was agreed to hold, in the future, operational working meetings between the B&H Prosecutor's Office and SIPA in relation to the activities of some departments and sections, and that efforts will be made for the results in the coming year, in terms of the fight against all forms of crime, to be even better.
These institutions will continue to work intensively on creating a safer environment for all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the road of our country towards European integration.
