British Embassy Donated Equipment for Training Police Dogs as well as Equipment for Physical Trainin

Today (17/9/2015), British Embassy donation was officially handed over to SIPA in the Headquarters of the SIPA Special Support Unit. SIPA was donated equipment for training police dogs as well as equipment for the gym and the space for the physical training of the SSU members.

On this occasion, Anđelko Hrgić, SIPA Assistant Director, presented „SIPA gold embossed emblem“ to Paul Marshall, British Defense Attaché, and „SIPA Certificate of Appreciation“ to Alan Talakić, Embassy employee, for the support and the selfless contribution to professional development and strengthening operational capacities of the SIPA Special Support Unit.

Jovica Mirosavljević, Assistant Commander of the Special Support Unit, expressed his gratitude for the donated equipment and support in strengthening operational capacities and raising level of training of the SSU members. He said that the British Embassy has been a long-standing partner and friend of SIPA, and that successful cooperation, on different projects, will continue in the future.

Police officials of the Special Support Unit performed a tactical demonstration of the training process of the police dogs. The dogs were procured in the previous period and will be trained, in accordance with the plan of training, to be used in the next seven to thirteen months.

Colonel Paul Marshall expressed his gratitude to the Assistant Director, Mr. Hrgić, for his warm words of welcome and the gift. He said that the Special Support Unit fulfills tasks which require special skills and the highest standards of personal integrity, sincerity and professionalism which is present with each member of the Unit.
