Banja Luka: 348 Mobile Phones Seized

On 23 March 2012, in the action by the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) with the aim of suppressing telephone smuggling in the total value of several million BAM, 348 mobile phones and accompanying equipment were seized in the area of Banja Luka, as well as accounting records and other documents.

The seized mobile phones were detected in the searches at two family houses and three business premises owned or used by M.Š., S.Š. and B.Š.

Upon the searches, three suspected individuals and six witnesses were detained at the State Investigation and Protection Agency’s premises, whereby two individuals were apprehended and handed over to the acting Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office BH for further processing.

The action was carried out upon the order from the Court BH, in cooperation with members of the Indirect Taxation Authority and with the assistance from police officials of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of Interior.
