Austrian Public Security Directorate Visited State Investigation and Protection Agency

General Director of the Police of Federal Republic of Austria Mr Herbert Anderl, with his associates paid an official visit to the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA). The Austrian highest police level delegation was welcomed by the SIPA's Director Mr. Goran Zubac with his associates – Deputy Director Marko Dominković, Assistant Director Anđelko Hrgić and Commander of the Special Support Unit of SIPA, Mr. Mirsad Vilić.
During the visit, the highest police officials of the two countries discussed bilateral cooperation between the police of Austria and SIPA and the joint operational work with particular emphasis on further strengthening and improvement of operational and strategic cooperation.
On this occasion, the Director of the Austrian Police gave his full support to the SIPA’s priorities of work, including a decisive combat against terrorism, organized crime and corruption, but also the future development and strengthening of the State Investigation and Protection Agency.
During the visit, for the delegation of the Austrian Federal Police it was organized a tactical demonstration performed by the members of the SIPA’s Special Support Unit, which was assessed by the commander of the Austrian Special unit Eco-Cobra, Mr. Bernhard Treibenreif, and the Commander of the SIPA’s Special Support Unit, Mr. Mirsad Vilić as highly successful and professional.
The Police Delegation of Austria also had the opportunity to see part of the weapons, equipment and vehicles owned by the SIPA’s Special Support Unit.
At the end of the visit, Mr. Anderl extended an invitation to Mr Zubac to visit the Austrian Police, for which Mr. Zubac thanked and promised a return visit in the near future.
