Arsenal of Weapons Found

Yesterday, 18.11.2010 – An organised criminal group was disrupted in an extensive police operation conducted by members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and Italian Police in seven cities of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Italian Trieste resulting in discovery of arsenal of weapons and military equipment.

After raids in seventeen locations the following was found and seized with fourteen persons: 39 kg of explosive, eight automatic rifles and 18 pistols of different calibre, two hunting rifles, 30 mobiles with SIM cards, 85 detonating capsules, two slow-burning fuses, two hand grenades, two trinitrotoluene 250 gr bullets, five gun silencers, 12 magazines for different kinds of guns, about 1600 EUR, 3700 Croatian Kuna, small amount of American Dollars, Swedish Kruna and Convertible Marks, five knives of different types, Mercedes vehicle being suspected of stemming from crime perpetration, several computers, laptops, memory cards, adapters, binoculars, laser pointers, handcuffs, military uniforms, Motorola, small amount of documentation and other equipment.

Today 19.11.2010, after criminal processing in SIPA premises, police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency handed over five persons together with a report on the offence committed under the Article 250 of the CCB&H (Organised Crime) and in conjunction with the Article 193 of the CCB&H (Illicit Trade in Weapons and Military Equipment) to the Prosecutor’s Office of B&H.
