Yesterday, 7.6.2012 – Police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) apprehended in Brod two persons with initials IL (1961) and JG (1950) with whom they found a large quantity of weapons, ammunition, explosive devices and military equipment.
Search of houses and other facilities of the apprehended persons resulted in a discovery of four automatic rifles, semiautomatic rifle, military rifle M48, the so called „pumparica“ hand-made rifle, two small calibre rifles, five hunting rifles, three hunting rifles, a pistol Browning 7,65, two guns with blank ammunition (known as "plašljivac"), 2389 rounds of ammunition of different calibres, four optics for hunting rifle, 11 boxes of automatic rifle, five hand grenades, six-meter safety fuse with four capsules, six bandoleers for grenades, two bandoleers for ammunition.
The apprehended persons, upon criminal processing at SIPA premises, together with a report on criminal offence committed under the Article 399, paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code of RS, will be handed over to the District Prosecutor's Office in Doboj.
The operation, which started yesterday and completed late last night, was carried out by the orders of the Municipal Court in Derventa.
