On September 9th, 2009, police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and the Central Bosnia Canton MIO apprehended A.O. in Bugojno based on grounded suspicion that he committed a criminal offence from Article 173 "War Crimes Against Civilians" of the Criminal Code of B&H in Bugojno in 1993.

Upon criminal processing at the State Investigation and Protection Agency's premises, A.O. will be handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office of B&H, upon whose order the action was carried out.

Based on the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina order, a search of living and other premises owned or used by A.O. was carried out in Bugojno, Jajce and Donji Vakuf. Possibly retrieved war documentation, along with the report on the search, will be forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
