Announcement: Joint Anti-Terrorism Task Force Operational

With the aim of making combating terrorism even more efficient, B&H police agencies established the Joint Anti-Terrorism Task Force with headquarters in the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) premises.

Apart from the State Investigation and Protection Agency's officials, the Task Force will include representatives from seven other police agencies – Directorate for the Coordination of B&H Police Bodies, B&H Border Police, Intelligence Security Agency (OSA), Service for Foreigners’ Affairs, Federal Police Administration (FUP), Republic of Srpska MoI and Brcko District Police.

A press conference on this event of a great significance for B&H will be held on April 7th, 2010 at 10 a.m. in the State Investigation and Protection Agency premises, Nikole Tesle 59, Istocno Sarajevo.

Those present will be addressed by B&H Minister of Security Sadik Ahmetovic, B&H Prosecutor’s Office Chief Prosecutor Milorad Barasin, American Ambassador in B&H H.E. Patrick Moon, German Ambassador in B&H H.E. Joachim Schmidt and Director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency Mirko Lujic, who will also be a moderator. Leading individuals from the institutions taking part in the Task Force are also expected, as well as representatives from EUPM, ICITAP, FBI and the American Embassy in B&H.
