Announcement: Civilian-Military Drill „Joint Response, Sarajevo 2010“

A civilian – military drill of response to a terrorist attack and removal of its consequences entitled „Joint Response, Sarajevo 2010“will take place in the B&H Armed Forces' barracks in Rajlovac on Wednesday, September 15th, 2010 at 09.00.

The drill is organised by the B&H Ministry of Security in cooperation with the B&H Ministry of Defence, OSCE Mission to B&H and NATO HQ in B&H.

The drill includes two scenes. The first scene demonstrates a hostage crisis and rescue while the second scene is a chemical attack against civilians in an enclosed space and removal of its consequences and both will be delivered by the members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), Border Police of B&H, Federal ministry of Interior, Institute for RCB Protection, entity and Brcko District protection and rescue services, Red Cross teams, supported by the B&H Armed Forces and RCB protection team from Croatia.

The official closing and certificate awarding ceremony will take place on September 16 at 10:00 followed by appropriate speeches by the officials from the B&H Ministry of Defence, NATO, OSCE. The drill will be officially closed by Sadik Ahmetović, B&H Minister of Security.

Media representatives are invited to attend the drill and the official closing ceremony and for that purpose are invited to obtain media accreditations by Tuesday, September 14 2010 16:00 through the email: glasnogovornik@msb.gov.ba.

We advise media representatives to be present in the Armed Forces' barracks in Rajlovac at 8:30h on the day of the drill for the purpose of obtaining the accreditations and transportation to the drill location.
