SIPA

Today (3/12/2015) – Ambassador of Switzerland to B&H H.E. Heinrich Maurer visited the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and met with the Director Perica Stanić.

Since this is the first official visit of the Ambassador of Switzerland to SIPA, the meeting discussed all aspects of SIPA work, its competence, organisational structure and its role in the security system of B&H. The current security challenges in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a focus on the fight against terrorism as a global threat as well as departures of BH citizens to foreign battlefields were also discussed in the meeting. The meeting emphasised the importance of cooperation between security structures at all levels in BiH and involvement of the wider community in tackling this problem as well as the importance of proactive and preventive actions.
Modalities and directions of future cooperation were agreed with a view to more efficient exchange of data and information of mutual interest.

HE Heinrich Maurer congratulated the Director of SIPA on his appointment and wished him success in his future work.
