Ambassador of Slovenia Iztok Grmek Visited SIPA

Today (5/4/2016), Ambassador of Slovenia to B&H, HE Iztok Grmek and Slovenian Police Attaché to B&H, Janko Goršek visited the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and met with SIPA Director Perica Stanić.

As this was the first visit of the Slovenian Ambassador to SIPA since the appointment of Perica Stanić as director, the meeting discussed SIPA activities to combat the most complex types of crime and future plans as well as current security challenges. The focus was on the efforts of SIPA and relevant Slovenian authorities in fighting terrorism and all types of organised crime. In this context, they discussed the previous cooperation and efficient exchange of intelligence as well as further strengthening SIPA capacities through organisation of specialized trainings for police officials and other support.

Ambassador Grmek and Attaché Goršek expressed their satisfaction with the successful cooperation with SIPA, and pointed out that SIPA was an important partner for Slovenia in combating serious types of crime.

The meeting also identified modalities and directions of future cooperation, with a view to more effective addressing of current security challenges.
