Agreement on Mutual Support and Operational Cooperation between Police Agencies Signed in SIPA

Agreement on Mutual Support and Operational Cooperation between Police Agencies Signed in SIPA Today (16/3/2016), a bilateral Agreement on Mutual Support and Operational Cooperation between Police Agencies in B&H was signed on the premises of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA). The Agreement was signed between SIPA and Una-Sana MoI, Posavina Canton MoI, Tuzla Canton MoI, Zenica-Doboj Canton MoI, Bosnia-Podrinje Canton MoI, Central Bosnia Canton MoI, West Herzegovina Canton MoI and Sarajevo Canton MoI, while the agreement with Herzegovina-Neretva Canton MoI and Herzeg-Bosnia Canton will be signed early next week.

The Agreement was signed by SIPA Director Perica Stanić, Ministers and Commissioners of the above ministries and the Chief of MoI Sector of Bosnia-Podrinje Canton. The signatories stressed the importance of cooperation between police authorities at all levels in BiH, in accordance with the competences provided for by the law, for a successful fight against all types of crime and effective response to the current security challenges.

The SIPA Director signed the Agreement on Mutual Support and Operational Cooperation between Police Agencies in B&H with the MoI of Republika Srpska, Federal Police Administration and Brčko District Police on 29/12/2015, after which the conclusion of the agreements with cantonal MoIs was also initiated.
