After the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) carried out extremely successful actions under the code names of “Lutka” and “Bos” on 12 and 13 September 2012, with the aim of dismantling criminal groups dealing with organised and financial crime, members of the Independent Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina visited SIPA on 14 September 2012.
Independent Committee of Parliamentary Assembly BH: SIPA Restored Citizens’ Belief in Better Future Goran Zubac: There will be Many More Similar Actions“Brilliant activities recently carried out by SIPA have restored the citizens’ belief in a better future and provided a glimmer of hope that it is possible to fight against organised crime and injustice, against those who had plundered public resources in the past decade and more. With these activities, SIPA has demonstrated determination and capacities of its professional operatives to carry this out”, pointed out Žiko Krunić, the President of the Independent Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly BH in his conversation with the Director Goran Zubac.
In his opinion, the mentioned actions, as well as activities recently carried out by SIPA, are a clear indication that the Parliamentary Assembly, functionally operating via the Independent Committee, has planned the staffing of the police agencies at the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina well, including the selection of Goran Zubac as the Director of SIPA.
During the meeting, particular appreciation was expressed to the fact that, during the most extensive police actions in BH history, other law enforcement agencies participated alongside the State Investigation and Protection Agency, whose members made an impression with their professionalism and field cooperation, which is one of the indicators that the police system reform in our country has been completely successful.
“After the “Lutka” and “Bos” actions, nothing will be the same in BH. This is a serious blow for organised criminal groups in BH. For SIPA, there are no untouchables”, said SIPA’s Director, Goran Zubac before the members of the Independent Committee and highlighted a strong dedication of all the employees at the State Investigation and Protection Agency to fight vigorously against terrorism, organised and financial crime, pointing out there would be many more similar actions in the future.
