468 Calls to "Crime-Stoppers" in August

In August 2009, the State Investigation and Protection Agency’s (SIPA) police officials registered 468 calls do "Crime-Stoppers" telephone line, out of which 159 were evaluated as not serious.

In the aforementioned time period, citizens submitted 72 useful information on committed or planned criminal offences and their perpetrators, based on which the same number of reports was made.

The majority of the received information was related to criminal offences of illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs, unauthorized possession of weapons or explosive materials and vehicle related crime.

Out of the total number of useful information, 64 of them, along with the reports, were forwarded to the competent police authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina for further processing, and eight pieces of information were related to criminal offences from the competence of SIPA.


The SIPA’s police officials gave 237 recommendations to the citizens who called 080-020-505, the number of "Crime-Stoppers".
