In August 2010, the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) police officials received 438 calls to the Crime-Stoppers hotline, out of which 154 were assessed as not serious.

In the aforementioned time period, citizens submitted 78 useful information on committed or planned criminal offences and their perpetrators, based on which the same number of reports was made.

The majority of information was related to criminal offences of unauthorised sale of narcotic drugs (14), corruption and abuse of official duty (11) and vehicle crime (6).

Out of the total number of useful information, 61 of them, along with the reports, were forwarded to competent B&H police authorities for further processing, and 17 information were related to criminal offences from SIPA competence.

Within the reporting period, 30 feedback information were received from competent police authorities, based on which it was determined that 1 report on committed criminal offences and perpetrators were submitted to competent Prosecutor’s Offices, and 1 report were submitted for assessment.

SIPA’s police officials gave 206 recommendations to the citizens who called 080 020 505 – Crime-Stoppers hotline.
